The leadership development program
The development process starts with a personality test to identify the participant's type. The report is then used in leadership coaching sessions to increase self-awareness.
The approach is characterized by an agile mindset that prioritizes a safe and trusting environment to foster development. This means a flexible approach to the content of the planned workshops, depending on the team's overall readiness for sharing and development.
It is recommended that the leadership development program lasts at least six months, as the process of gaining self-awareness and integrating it in a way that allows you to utilize your strengths and weaknesses is a process that takes some time.
The program combines individual leadership coaching sessions (1:1) with full-day workshops for the entire team. Performance measurement and continuous development includes ongoing evaluation of manager motivation in the development process.
The final workshop can be dedicated to sharing experiences and creating a small action plan that can be individual or team-wide, depending on the readiness of each leader and the maturity of the team.

Authenticity and authority
As a leader, you should ask yourself: Why do my employees want to follow me?" The good leader of the future is a leader by virtue of their authenticity, empathy and ability to manifest a vision that others buy into. This is a trend that is already happening, and there are many examples of employees not being assigned a leader but choosing their own. Several studies also show that many people choose or change jobs because of their manager. This means that in the future, authority is not something that is given from above. Rather, authority is something you earn from the people you manage. This interesting trend is also evident in more modern management literature, such as Gary Hamel and Frederic Laloux.
Meaning and purpose
Younger generations are increasingly motivated by purpose rather than money and status. It's clear that we're facing a generation that isn't satisfied with just having a job. Work needs to be meaningful too.
As a top leader, you need to think about what big problems your business is helping to solve. If you can't authentically connect your purpose to a larger cause that goes beyond making money, you'll eventually run into problems. Not only in terms of recruiting tomorrow's talent, but also in terms of your customers.
This means that an important leadership skill in the future will be to be able to manifest the feeling that we are helping to make the world a little bit better every day.
Knowing your empathic compass
Part of the increased complexity of the future is about major changes in people's attitudes towards diversity, ethics and values.
In the past, it could be caricatured that as a top manager, you could disconnect your emotions and get away with being a rational and authoritative leader. MeToo, among other things, has shown that the classic leadership approach doesn't work and that the social and ethical compass needs to be very finely tuned.
This is also supported by technological developments, where AI and ChatGPT are great tools that support leaders in all kinds of ways. AI helps drive decisions by making sense of large data sets, among other things. But even with AI's increasing role in optimizing processes technology can't replace a leader's ability to create a positive atmosphere, show empathy and convey an inspiring vision.
